There’s now less than one month before we will be able to welcome the world’s most famous and successful brass band, The Black Dyke Band who will be joining forces with the Shirebrook Miners Welfare Band on Thursday 12th October for a brass spectacular at Shirebrook Academy.
Under the direction of Musical Director Prof. Nicholas Childs, the Black Dyke Band will perform a varied and exciting programme of music which will include music from Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean! The band will then join forces with the Shirebrook Miners Welfare Band in the second half for a spectacular ‘massed bands’ finale to being the concert to a close.
This night is sure to be one to remember for everyone in Shirebrook, and due to a generous support grant we are able to offer tickets to all school children for just £5 so be sure to secure yours be clicking on the link below!
