Year Team Pastoral Structure
At Shirebrook Academy, we have an experienced team of pastoral staff in each Year Group. Each Y7-11 Year Group has a Pastoral Support Manager, a Pastoral and Learning Lead and a Leadership Team Associate - who students can go to for support. In addition to this, each student is in a form, and has a Form Tutor, who should be a student's first port of call for help, advice and guidance.
When seeking the support of Year Teams, Pastoral Support Managers should be contacted by parents/carers in the first instance. Pastoral Support Managers work with children in their year groups throughout the day and do not have a teaching commitment.
Our staff work hard to support children every day. Respectful and polite dialogue and liaison with parents/carers working with us to support their children are welcomed.
